Obituary

GRIXTI. On March 16, at Karin Grech Hospital, SAVIOUR, widower of Josephine, of Żurrieq residing in Luqa, passed peacefully away aged 66, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Charmaine and her husband Mario, Vanessa and her fiancé Chris, his brother Tony and his wife Margaret, and his sister Sr Manuela of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital today at 3 p.m. for St Andrew’s church, Luqa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment at Mqabba cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be appre­ciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

PERALTA. On March 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, VICTOR, aged 93, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his nephew and his niece, Edward and Joan Cassar Torreggiani, his nephew Louis Bianchi and his nieces Madeleine Aquilina and Veronica Rossignaud and their respective families, his niece Barbara Cullen and his nephews Stanley, David and Victor Peralta and their respective families residing in Canada, as well as family and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for Balluta parish church, St Julian’s, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

Requiem Masses

A Mass for the repose of the soul of PATRICIA ANNE ELSNER, née Degiorgio, will be said on March 23 at 7 p.m. at St Patrick’s church, Sliema. The attendance of relatives, friends and ex-colleagues will be appreciated.

Today’s 8.15 a.m. Mass at the University chapel (Tal-Qroqq) will be celebrated for the repose of the soul of MARIA GHIRLANDO, on the second anniversary of her passing away.

On the seventh anniversary of the demise of JOSEPH E. SPITERI (Principal Health Inspector), a Mass will be said on March 25 at 11 a.m. at Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema.
