Fifty-eight Maltese medical students recently attended the second edition of the UK National Undergraduate Surgery Conference at the University College in London.

The conference was addressed by world authority speakers and discussed groundbreaking innovations and surgical training, as well as the future of surgical careers.

The two-day conference included intensive sessions of lectures, workshops and research exhibitions during which medical students could also practice suturing and emergency techniques.

The event was promoted by the Malta Medical Students’ Association and financially supported by its Training Assistance Fund aimed to support expenses incurred by students to enhance their training.
