Rotary Club (Gozo) former president David Pace recently presented a cheque for €1,000 to the Friends of the Sick and the Elderly in Gozo (FSEG) on behalf of Rotary district governor for Sicily and Malta Concetto Lombardo and the club’s president, James Wilberforce.
The presentation took place during the club’s annual general meeting at the exhibition hall, St Francis Square, Victoria.
Mr Pace said the club will be holding various fundraising activities to raise funds for a new heart monitor for Gozo General Hospital’s Casualty Department.
This will be done in memory of a past fellow Rotarian, Philip Sandars, who passed away recently due to heart failure.
It is now the wish of his family to purchase suitable equipment to help others.
FSEG president John Pace thanked the club for assistingwith the opening of a new storage and distribution centre in Għajnsielem.
