The daughter of the alleged victim in an attempted murder case said yesterday she was never notified to testify.

The case revolves around the alleged attack of her father, GRTU director general, Vince Farrugia,by Sandro Chetcuti, a formermember of the association, who is now accused of trying to kill Mr Farrugia.

In a statement, Marie Klaire Farrugia reacted to remarks defence lawyer Emanuel Mallia made in court when he said he could not understand why she did not turn up when she was the daughter of the alleged victim.

Ms Farrugia said she was never summoned by the courts, the police or by the media to make a statement about her involvement in the case.
