The four BOV Premier League matches postponed last weekend as a consequence of the bad weather and strong winds, have been rescheduled for today and tomorrow.

The revised programme will see the two matches called off on Sunday – Mosta vs Ħamrun Spartans and Balzan Youths vs Valletta – played this evening at the Hibs Stadium, starting at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. respectively.

Birkirkara vs Floriana and Hibernians vs Sliema Wanderers, due to have been played at the National Stadium on Saturday, will now take place tomorrow at the same venue.

Some metal sheets covering the National Stadium main stand were ripped off the roof by gale-force winds between Friday and Saturday. Repairs are underway and the enclosure is expected to be made safe for spectators in time for tomorrow evening’s games.

Other minor damages were also reported at the Hibs Stadium where works are expected to be carried out this morning.

The canopy of the Centenary Stadium was repaired yesterday.

Meanwhile, because of these new arrangements, Friday’s two matches at the Victor Tedesco Stadium (Mqabba vs Mosta and Balzan Youths vs Sliema Wanderers) have now been moved back to next Monday (a public holiday) with kick-off times at 2 p.m. and 4.15 p.m.

The Malta FA also announced new dates for all the postponed matches from the other divisions.
