The third meeting of the steering committee of the Water and Territorial Policies for Integration of Multisectorial Development (Waterfront) project was recently held in Trapani, Sicily.

The University, which is a partner in this project, was represented by Nadia Theuma, director of the Institute for Tourism, Travel and Culture.

The project aims to define guidelines, strategies and operational tools for the planning of coasts, based on the exchange of experiences between Malta and Sicily.

It is being financed by the European Commission under the Italia-Malta 2007-2013 programme.

A scientific site visit for Sicilian experts will be organised during the first week of May.
