The MSV Life National League at the SuperBowl has now progressed through seven of the current season’s 19 weeks.

Two-time champions okmalta.com have a four-point lead at the top after their 6-2 win against Ramis.

Turu’s Knights drew against Rogantino’s to stay second as Fina moved up to third place with their 8-0 thrashing of St James’ Hospital. The Clan enjoyed a 7-1 win over J. Grima & Co while Supreme were 6-2 winners over MIA.

Leaders okmalta.com obtained the team series of week seven with an excellent 2,529 total but still contrived to drop two points in their victory over an unlucky Ramis side who finished second in the series stakes with a great 2,518.

A tight opening game went okmalta.com’s way, 852-843. The second game was slightly easier for okmalta.com who won 827-780 but Ramis showed that they are still a force to be reckoned with by taking the last of the set, 850-895 for their two-point share, missing out on the tie by that all important difference of 11 pins on the series.

Fina improved to third thanks to their 8-0 whitewash of St James’ Hospital who lie eight points above the drop zone in eighth. Game one was the closest of the set, Fina clinching it 750-783 for the early lead.

The difference between the two sides became more apparent in game two which went 742-831 to Fina who then rounded off their emphatic win with a 701-812 game three win.

Turu’s Knights are four points ahead of Fina in second place and four off top spot after their week seven draw against fifth-placed Rogantino’s.

The Clan’s useful 7-1 victory over J. Grima & Co gave them a 12-point cushion over the relegation places. J. Grima & Co’s solitary point came from the tied opening game, 751-751.

Supreme are still languishing in the relegation zone but moved up to ninth after their 6-2 success over MIA who slipped to the bottom of the table.
