Scientist Andrè Xuereb will take part in the Nobel Laureates meeting in Germany later this year.

He was chosen from several thousand nominees worldwide and is one of 550 qualified young researchers who were given the opportunity to share the unique atmosphere of the Lindau Nobel Laur-eate Meetings.

Justice Minister Chris Said expressed satisfaction that, for the first time, Malta would be represented at such an important annual event for the sciences and academia.

The opportunity came about through a memorandum of understanding signed by the government, the University of Malta and the Nobel Foundation.
