A half-day conference entitled “IDC IT Security, Cloud Computing, and Datacenters Transformation Roadshow 2012” will take place at the Westin Dragonara Resort in St. Julian’s on March 15.

It is being organised by IDC, a global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets.

The roadshow is part of a regional series of conferences organised by IDC and is supported by globally recognised local and international IT organisations and vendors such as MITA (Malta Information Technology Agency), APC by Schneider Electric, Hewlett Packard and Cisco.

This year’s event will feature presentations from IDC analysts, representatives of international and local software and hardware vendors, and independent experts, as well as case studies from end users. MITA’s CEO Matthew Gatt will deliver the opening keynote.

The roadshow’s main objective is to provide a platform for a meaningful discussion on ways to enhance corporate IT infrastructure efficiency and ensure sustainable business continuity. It will focus on a range of issues associated with today’s IT infrastructure management, including business security, the benefits of cloud computing, and the next step of the journey towards virtualisation.

The roadshow is mainly intended for chief information officers, chief technology officers, chief information security officers, chief security officers, IT directors and managers, data centre managers, enterprise and solutions architects, government directors and administrators, and other decision makers.

Registration is free of charge for all end users. However, there is a charge of €150 for representatives of IT vendors.
