May I ask Stanley J. Clews to stop mentioning my name in his letters of complaints regarding the Sliema council? Is it possible he does not have the names of the other 10 councillors?
I am taken aback by his attitude towards us independent councillors. I can confirm that we all worked as a team in the past months. A lot of work was done but perhaps Maj. Clews can ask other councillors regarding this.
Although Maj. Clews has known me and my family for several years, I find his comments against me personally insulting.
I would be grateful if he would stop mentioning me. Otherwise, other action will be taken.
I would also like to reply to Alfred Griscti’s letter (March 6).
Mr Griscti should get his facts right. I was a councillor for two and a half years, not four. Secondly, Bisazza Street is not only 100 metres from one end to the other.
He asked: “What has been her contribution, besides being a renegade to her own party and defending ex-mayor Nikki Dimech?” I contributed a lot to the council as several residents can tell, plus attending 84 council meetings in this period.
It is not true that I am a renegade and Mr Griscti should be ashamed of himself for using such a word. After all, I was asked to resign if I did not sign the vote of no confidence against Mr Dimech. This I did not do because there was no court hearing yet and no judgement on this person.
I will not judge anyone because I do not want anyone to judge me.
I never broke any party rules and was of service to all residents whatever their political understanding.
I have a conscience. It seems not everyone does.
