Missionaries grateful for help (2)

I wish to thank the Mission Find of Mosta for its donation to our parish of Cambira, here in the north of the State of Paraná, towards the end of last year. The Mission Fund has made it its objective to help Maltese missionaries in Third World countries and, practically every year, has been giving precious support to us, here in Brazil, and to many other brother missionaries in other parts of the world.

I also wish to thank the Maltese Catholics who traditionally have shown great love for the missionary work of their Church, for contributing to the Mission Fund in different ways to help it realise its charitable work.

The Mission Fund asks for contributions in used stamps and credit cards, which it converts into funds for the missions. Donations may also be made online to accounts in various Maltese banks. More information may be accessed from www.missionfund.org.mt. May God bless all those who, in different ways, lend a helping hand to the organisation and to the missions.

In our parish, the funds we receive are used mainly to help needy families, homeless and unemployed people. Even though Brazil has made great economic progress, it is still marked by many situations of poverty and class differences. We hope the country’s social problems will be solved in the near future.
