The newly opened La Caverna wine bar at the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz features a contemporary design with leather seating and separate rooms for red and white wines.

La Caverna houses a selection of over 300 wines within an Italian-style enoteca ambience.

The ambience is further enhanced by a painting by Noel Debono that stretches along the wall of the bar and a fireplace.

The wine bar’s name originates from The Cave of the Old Man in Gozo story, dating back to 1583 when many wines presses were discovered in Mġarr ix-Xini.

Patrons can ask for a guided tour of the wine rooms whereby staff members can offer valuable information about the origins of wines stored.
