Actavis has announced the appointment of Patrick Cachia as the new managing director for Actavis Limited Malta.

Mr Cachia graduated in pharmacy from the University of Malta in 1994 and joined Pharmamed Ltd in November of the same year where he held the position of production registration officer. He was later promoted to production manager of Pharmamed Parenterals Ltd in 1997 and to production manager of Pharmamed Ltd in June 2004.

Until recently, Mr Cachia held the post of production division manager for Actavis Ltd where he was involved in the upgrade and operation of the site.

Mr Cachia also has an Executive MBA from the University of Malta.
