The Blake Curse
A Maltese doctor who lives in the UK has just published the first book in a trilogy – The Blake Curse.
The book stars Ben Blake, an 18-year-old British intelligence agent who infiltrates university life in Cambridge and befriends Cathy, the daughter of billionaire Edward Carter, one of the most influential and politically secure titans of the time.
Other characters are Samantha Black, who rises from the ashes and battles her dark legacy and Jake Snell, the young rugged Earl of Yorkley.
The Blake Curse is all about heartrending choices, fast paced suspense and that faith in the thread of human goodness.
I C Camilleri graduated as a doctor in 1993 and moved to the UK 17 years ago.

An 18 year old British intelligence agent? My my do the Brit authorities need to rob the cradle to find personnel? Also, wait, wasn't there a movie with this same theme - a youngish-looking detective agent posing as a student? I actually think there was more then one... so, not a very original idea.

It is true that it may not be the most original of ideas (a fact is that most of the books have other sources) but this doesn't lessen the quality of the book. I haven't read it but will sure do once I find a copy.
