Divers rescued from rough sea
Two divers were taken to hospital yesterday afternoon after being rescued from rough seas off Wied Iz-Zurrieq.
The alarm was raised by a fisherman after the divers found themselves in difficulty while trying to get ashore. The armed forces said they sent a helicopter and a rescue launch to the area and the divers were winched aboard the helicopter.
One of them was found to be suffering from the bends.
