Like the PS3, the Xbox 360 Slim console is simply a design upgrade that carries additional benefits like the polished, sleek design, better cooling and touch-sensitive power and disk eject buttons. It has a large 250 GB hard disk and Wi-Fi built-in (unlike the older version where you had to buy these externally).
This version still makes use of the cumbersome and ugly power block. Also, there are no HD cables with the device, meaning that you have to purchase them separately.
The Xbox 360 Slim addresses some of the concerns several users had with the previous version – however this is certainly not a worthy upgrade for any existing Xbox 360 owners. Much like the PS3, this gaming console is ideal also for serious gamers but also for media consumption though the live platform.
Purchasing the Kinect add-on will take this gaming platform to a whole new level where you can enjoy controller-less gameplay with certain game titles. This is a totally new immersive experience no other console is able to offer.
