Petr Sulc, a European Handball Federation coaching consultant appointed to assist the Maltese men’s national team, is currently in Malta to conduct a training programme in view of the side’s participation at the European Championship in June.

The Czech coach was already engaged to assist the national team in the 2009 and 2011 editions of the IHF/EHF Challenge Trophy for men.

His proficiency and coaching experience on the international field will surely add impetus to the team’s preparation under the guidance of national coaches Matthew Mamo and Ian Psaila.

During his stay, the Malta Handball Association will also take the opportunity to include Sulc in handball promotion sessions at schools.

These sessions are being co-ordinated in conjunction with the Sport Promotion Unit at Kunsill Malti għall-iSport.
