• In the series ‘Rediscovering the Grand Master’s Palace’, curator of fine arts Sandro Debono will deliver a lecture tomorrow at 6.30 p.m. at the Palace, Valletta, on ‘Bygone views at the Palace’.

• Marco Cremona will be giving a talk entitled ‘Conquering Everest’ on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. in Depiro Hall St Julian’s Street, Birkirkara (close to Mater Dei Hospital). • A bazaar in aid of the Annunciation Centre for Evangelisation and Formation (ACEF) will be held from Tuesday until Saturday, from 9.30 a.m. until 1 p.m., in the foyer of De Porres hall, The Strand, Sliema. There will also be homemade quaresimal, figolli and buns, as well as plants and items usually found at bazaars.

• An adoration to pray for vocations to the priestly and religious life will be held on Thursday at the Archbishop’s Seminary, Tal-Virtù, Rabat. It starts with a Mass at 9.30 a.m. followed by adoration for the rest of the day. At 6.30 p.m. the seminarians will attend and another Mass will be celebrated at 7.15 p.m. to conclude the event. Individuals and groups are welcome to attend.

• There will be a concert by the Joy Gospel Singers in aid of the St Jeanne Antide Foundation on Saturday in the Tereża Spinelli Hall, St Monica School, Birkirkara. For bookings call 7929 7153.

• A buffet lunch in aid of the Missions Office of 7 Merchants Street, Valletta, will be held next Sunday at 12.15 p.m. at the Coastline Hotel, Salina Bay. • The final conference on ‘Strengthening and Encouraging Volunteering – The Way Forward’ will take place on March 9 from 8.30 a.m. until 1.30 p.m. at the Westin Dragonara Resort, St Julian’s. • The Malta Geographical Society is organising a walking weekend in Sicily to take place on March 17 and 18. There will be a total of five walks in national parks and historical areas. • The Malta Dyslexia Association (MDA) is holding a talk by dyslexia specialist and MDA president Carmen Muscat on March 23 at 6.30 p.m. at the Catholic Institute, Floriana. All are welcome to attend. The talk, entitled ‘Il-Qari bil-Malti’, will present strategies and techniques for helping children to learn to read and write in Maltese.
