• Masses at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will be held today at 6.15 a.m., 8.30, 10, 11.15 and 5 p.m. At 6 p.m. there will be the recitalof the rosary, followed by Eucharistic benediction.
• A fundraising bazaar in aid of the Dominican Sisters is being held at Lourdes Home, Għajnsielem, today and on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 8.30 a.m. to 5.15 p.m.
• The feast of the Holy Family will be celebrated at Gozo General Hospital today. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a concelebrated Mass at 10.15 a.m. Band players, some of whom work at the hospital, will entertain patients.
• The Friends of the Sick and the Elderly in Gozo are holding a charity sale in the football ground next to the main Victoria car park today from 7 a.m. Hawkers or commercial establishments are not allowed to take part.
• The Gozo SPCA will be holding an ‘Open Morning’ in Victoria today between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Orders will be taken for cat or dog tags and dog bandanas which will be available for sale.
• A ‘Cycle and Walk for Cancer’ will take place today at 2.30 p.m. The meeting place is near Ta’ Ħamet church. There will be two different routes – one for walking and the other for cycling. Both start from the same point. The Emergency Response and Rescue Corps will provide assistance to cyclists and a hire service of bicycles will be available near the church.
• The Catholic Action drama group of Xagħra will present Iċ-Ċenturjun (The Centurion) by Joe Meilaq at Dar tal-Azzjoni Kattolika, Xagħra, today at 6.30 p.m. and on Friday for Xagħra schoolchildren at 9 a.m.
• The Diocesan Youth Commission will be holding a meeting for Gozitan youths in Malta at the Franscican Sisters church in Msida on Tuesday at 7.15 p.m.
• The Ladies’ Circle of the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary will be holding its monthly coffee morning in the hall of the Catholic Action centre in Victoria on Thursday at 9 a.m. Tickets cost €3 and can be obtained from the members and from the school.
•The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at St Francis church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8 p.m., followed by Mass at midnight.
• The Bethel Charismatic Group will be holding a prayer meeting at the church of Our Lady of Pompeii, Victoria, onSaturday at 7 p.m.
• The Gozo Creative Theatre Club’s production Before Dawn is being staged at St John’s Hall, Citadel Centre for Culture and Arts, Victoria, on Saturday and Sunday at 7.30 p.m. Entrance is free.
• The annual general meeting of the Friends of the Sick and Elderly in Gozo will be held in the exhibition hall, St Francis Square, Victoria, on Thursday at 6.30 p.m. Mass will be said at St Francis church, Victoria, at 6 p.m.
• A weekend retreat foryouths (16+) will be held at Dar Manresa, Victoria, from Friday to Sunday. Fr Alex Refalo will lead the retreat.
• Radju Lauretana will be organising an outing to Malta on March 18. Those interested are asked to contact the radio station.
• The Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria is organising a four-course fundraising dinner in aid of the museum project for St George’s Basilica at St George’s Parish House dining hall on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. Tickets at €15 can be obtained from FBV members, from the parish office or from the bars at St George’s Square.
