Prawns recalled
One kilogramme prawn packets –Gamberi Rosso (Cinese) Sgusciato, expiring on March 1, 2013, lot number 11110 -02/03/2011, originating from China and packed in Italy have been recalled because of the possible presence of sulphites over the permitted maximum levels, the Environment Health Directorate said.

Why dont some silly people put aside politics and for once they admit that since we joined the EU all we are importing in Malta are products such as food and medicines items which are very important for our well being most of them are of poor quality,this concern every one whether PN or PL, we are all equals as far as our health is concerned

Food packages should clearly show from which country the product originates, and not just where it is packed. I definitely don't trust Chinese food products; heard enough stories regarding food poisoning.

They really sold us a bill of goods with this EU consumer protection bait to get everyone to join, thinking we are going to get first-class European products. Instead we get poisoned food from China and other parts of the globe. This is only the tip of the ice-berg. Shamefull.
