Calderdale College youngsters too strong for Gozo

Gozo welcomed its first rugby league game this week when Gozo Rugby League hosted Calderdale College U-19’s at Sannat.The gifted Calderdale College players won the Dove Men+Care trophy after an emphatic 58-6 victory. The touring team from England boasted four players belonging to professional club Halifax. Gozo produced a spirited performance, backed by the inclusion of Malta national team players in Debattista, Hili and Hussain. Hussain added the conversion after half-back Sam Keep scored an enterprising try after only 10 minutes to put the home side level at six-all. But the Englishmen kicked on after the half hour mark to canter home.
