A 29-year-old Briton admitted in court today to having damaged parked cars, the front door of a house and a statue in front of the same house when he went on a rampage while drunk early last Saturday in Birzebbuga.

Darren Storey 29, of Bradford in the UK, is a tourist resident at the Seebreeze Hotel in Birzebbuga . The incident happened between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Damage was estimated at €3,000.

He also admitted disobeying police orders and making obscene gestures.

The court said he would be held in custody until it was assured that the victims would be paid for the damage.
