The Chaplaincy, in collaboration with Inygo, is offering the following summer experiences abroad:

• Ethiopia (July 31 to August 21): This experience consists of voluntary work among very poor people living at the Mother Teresa Home of the Dying run by the Missionaries of Charity in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Applicants must be willing to live with very basic facilities and in a community spirit. Students with a medical background are particularly urged to apply.

• Naples, Palermo, Catania (July 5 to August 6): Groups of between 15 and 20 volunteers are required for each destination to organise a summer school in depressed areas. The experience is conducted with the Sisters of Mother Teresa. Sixty to 80 children are expected to attend each summer school.

Applicants will be asked to attend an interview and preparatory meetings will be held for all the volunteers. Fundraising activities will also be held. For further details and application forms contact Fr Michael Bugeja, SJ, on e-mail chaplaincy@um.edu.mt or tel: 2340 2341 or 7900 1241.
