On becoming invisible

In the February issue of the magazine Flimkien, Mgr Anton Portelli writes about the way we must always seek the positive elements in any circumstance. We must also ask for forgiveness for having judged badly sometimes, and for having missed any opportunity to do good.

Archbishop Paul Cremona takes cue from the appointment of Fr Prospero Grech as Cardinal. He writes that this is the universal Church’s ‘thank you’ to the Maltese for having contributed in no small manner to the workings of the Church in many parts of the world.

In the article ‘Il-Kaptan tal-Ġifen’ (The Captain of the Galley) Paul Galea relates the story of the shipwreck in the year 60 AD, which consequently brought St Paul to our islands.

The articles ‘Iltqajt ma’ persuna... gay’ (I met a person ... who is gay), ‘Niddivorzja, jew le?’ (Should I resort to divorce, or not?), and ‘On Becoming Invisible’ give wise advice about how to behave in similar circumstances.

Fr Hector Scerri’s two-page article ‘Vjola u Karamelli’ (Purple and Caramels) is about Lent and Easter. These explanations help the faithful participate better in the inspiring celebrations particular to this time in the Liturgical Year.

Flimkien is distributed free door to door.
