A second cat has been found crucified and hanging upside down in Mosta, the fourth such incident involving animals since October.

The cat was found nailed to a wooden cross on a door in Baskal Buhagiar Street just before 7 a.m. yesterday.

Another cat was found crucified on January 17. It was left on the gate of a chapel in San Anton Abbati Street.

A priest had found a dead dog nailed to a wooden cross, hanging upside down on Main Street on October 16. A month later, a Chihuahua cross-breed was found crucified in the same manner on the gates of the Sacred Heart oratory.

Next to the carcasses of the dogs was a note in which the perpetrator said the suffering s/he had gone through was worse than that of the dog.
