Ground rent scheme
The government has issued a scheme to purchase ground rent on public property.
I hope there will be an exemption on historical, military and architectural buildings.

The government will have the same exemption that the government had in 1974 (37 years ago) when the government encouraged people to squat in empty properties. By the way some are still squatting in those same properties today and us owners cannot do a darn thing about it. Speaking of such properties, I see that Dom Mintoff and his family got their property back and with a prize. When is this government going to return these properties back to the rightful owners? My family still have to wait for two generations of squatters to die before we can get our property back. So property owners think twice before you make any deals with the government because that is the end of being able to acquire that property back. The government taketh and the government will not giveth back. Think about that.
