Rooney brace sinks Liverpool
Wayne Rooney's second-half double secured a 2-1 win for Manchester United against Liverpool and moved them to the top of the English Barclays Premier League.
Rooney struck twice in three minutes right after the restart, ensuring United survived a nervy finish after Luis Suarez had pulled a goal back.
However, with Suarez refusing to shake Patrice Evra's hand before kick-off and the United skipper apparently trying to confront his opponent at half-time, the off-field problems which have scarred this rivalry over the past few months have merely continued.

Hello Mr. David Vella i certainly know what you mean. To be honest with you I dont mind loosing against Barcelona FC. But to win against against liverpool is something special for united. I suggest that tomoorrow you look out for all the sporting media to see what a same it was for Luis Suarez refusing to shake hands with Patrice Evra to settle a dispute. It was a shame not just for Suarez but for all the Liverpool Club especially for Kenny Daglish who should have insisted with his player to close a bad episode. Shame on Liverpool who dont know what being a sport mean. Again well done reds and all United fans are having a memorable weekend.
