Syrians protest against Chinese government

The Syrian community in Malta this afternoon took part in a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Embassy in St Julian's. Another protest is being held in front of the Russian Embassy on Sunday.
The Syrian community called on the Maltese to join them in their protests against the Russian and Chinese governments, whom they are holding responsible for the death of their families back home.
The two countries have vetoed a UN resolution condemning Syria for its deadly crackdown on protests.
Also taking part in the protest yesterday were Egyptians, Palestinians, Jordanians, Libyans and Kurds. The protesters carried photos of massacred bodies in Syria.
They said that they wanted to express their support with Syrians who had also supported them in their cause.
However, they had hope that President Bashar al-Assad would be gone in about a couple of months as support for the country was growing. They also believed that Russia and China would come through the pressure of other countries.

Ordinary Chinese have a " heart of gold" but their regime which is led today by a Capitalist/Communist coalition and is only interested in wielding power (in China there are no elections), has a "heart of stone"!
The present Chinese regime, depicted by none other than PL activist Reno Calleja as a "benign Government", is to be condemned for its veto of the UN Resolution meant to curb the bloody onslaught of the murderous Al-ASSAD clan on its people, brutalising and killing so far over 8,000 innocent civilians, many of them women and children!
Shame on the Chinese Government which has lost all credibility among the free nations of the world and amongst us Maltese!!

The Syrians cannot entertain much hope from the Chinese who deny democratic rights even to their own people. The Russians, that is the current Russian leadership, are ev en worse because they pretend to be democratic but they are unmasked by their support for totalitarian and bloodthirsty regimes. The Russian government's opposition to regime change in Syria is because they fear that regime change in Russia will follow next and is long overdue because democracy in Russia is a sham.
May God bless all the courageous people in the Arab world who are sacrificing their lives to acquires basic rights which are open to us all. Long live free Syria!
