Fjeld best in January

Evan Fjeld, of Floriana, is the winner of the first player of the month award for 2012 after being voted best performer in Division One for January.

Fjeld made his debut for Floriana last month after joining the club in December. The American enjoyed a strong start, helping Floriana gain some important wins to stay in contention for the play-offs.

In his first three games, Fjeld scored 104 points and had 50 rebounds, 13 assists and nine steals. He was presented with the player of the month award by Martin Ferry, on behalf of sponsors You Shop We Ship.
