Air Malta appoints Chief Officer, Flight Operations

Mark Micallef Eynaud has been appointed Chief Officer Flight Operations at Air Malta. He is responsible for maintaining and improving Air Malta's flight operations, improving the airline's ontime performance, developing and implementing strategies to reduce fuel costs, maximise crew utilisation and support the overall transformation of the airline.
 
The airline said that Mr Micallef Eynaud has 25 years experience with Cathay Pacific Airways (Hong Kong. Prior to joining Cathay he was a commissioned officer in the Royal Air Force in which he served as  fighter pilot and instructor.

He has varied military and civil aviation experience and associated management roles in organisations that are industry leaders in terms of standards, expectations and results. He has also served on Boards of various organisations, including being a current member of the Air Malta Board – a position he will
relinquish at the next Board meeting.

Well done Mark, from an RAF fighter pilot to a 25 year commercial aircraft pilot operating from Hong Kong (which is an airport with such a difficult landing approach). Not content with your flying career and going into well-earned retirement, you will be a great asset to Air Malta in its restructuring. program. Malta should be proud of you! Good luck.
