Nominations open for Creative Young Entrepreneur Award

As nominations for the JCI Malta 2012 First Edition of Creative Young Entrepreneur Award open, members and non-members of JCI Malta are hoping to prove that Malta’s young entrepreneurs are amongst the world’s most creative.

“The competition sponsored by HSBC and KPMG is open to all residents of Malta between the ages of 18 and 40”, explained Charlotte Gregory, 2012 president of JCI Malta. “The nomination process is simple, and anyone can nominate an entrepreneur, and young entrepreneurs are encouraged to nominate themselves.”

JCI Malta is part of a worldwide community of young active citizens aged 18-40 who are dedicated to creating the positive change they wish to see in themselves and the world. There are nearly 200,000 members active in 115 countries across the globe. JCI launched the Creative Young Entrepreneur Award Competition in 2006 in partnership with the Flanders District of Creativity, an initiative of the Belgium government. Jonathan Borg, JCI national deputy president explained that the entry process involves the simple completion of a nomination form. From these entries a panel of experts drawn from within the local economic and entrepreneurial community will select three semi finalists to move forward into the 2012 JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award Competition Final which will be held in April. The successful candidate will then be competing on an international level for the JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award.

Three International finalists from around the world will be chosen for the JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award. These finalists will receive a free round-trip airline ticket to attend the JCI World Congress which will be held in November in Taipei. The prize package also includes a free hotel stay at the congress headquarters hotel, and one free JCI World Congress registration. One finalist will be selected by a panel of international judges as the 2012 JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur – the top creative young entrepreneur in the world.
