Hydrolectric Ltd has become the sole representative in Malta for Prolojik, the UK manufacturers of intelligent lighting systems.
The company’s products were launched during a seminar recently at the Royal Malta Yacht Club to an audience of contracting and consulting engineers with the aim of having the energy-saving lighting solutions adopted as the industry standard for commercial buildings.
Prolojik’s intelligent lighting systems provide total control of each and every light fitting by taking into account the requirements of the modern commercial environment. There used to be only one requirement, to provide light for visual tasks. Nowadays convenience, functionality and energy conservation are all important too. The traditional electric installation based on the simple wiring of light switches and dimmers does not respond adequately to these demands.
Prolojik’s lighting control systems allow communication between all components of a lighting system or even as part of the engineering of a building management system, the seminar was told. The launch was presented by Paul Milton, senior sales director of Prolojik Ltd. who explained how the system is simple to use even for a non-technical person.
Prolojik and Hydrolectric formalised an alliance in November 2011 when Hydrolectric successfully concluded the sale of two large projects on the island currently underway. Hydrolectric is also investing heavily in Prolojik by providing training to its engineering and technical sales staff, in order to offer full sales and after sales support to the local market.
