The latest edition of the Gozo Observer contains a number of interesting articles.

Patrick Schembri describes three species of shore crabs found in Gozo in his article ‘Three Crabs and a Gozo Connection’.

Alan Deidun highlights the importance of managing marine protected areas in Gozo, such as Dwejra, in ‘Managing Gozo’s marine protected areas’.

‘Geological and geomorphological sspects of the Żebbuġ and Marsalforn region’ is the title of an article by George Said, who describes the rock formations of various areas around this region, while Fr Geoffrey Attard writes about the history of Victoria in ‘Victoria: 125 years of city status ’.

Godwin Vella gives an account of the earthquake that shook Malta in 1693 in ‘The frightening tremors of January 1693’, while Consiglia Azzopardi gives an insight into the importance of preserving the art of Maltese lace in her contribution ‘Lace studies at academic level’.

Lino Briguglio presents a list of articles which have appeared in the Gozo Observer since May 1999, while Joseph Calleja gives a summary of the extra-curricular activites held at the Gozo Campus between July and December.
