Feast of St John Bosco

The feast of St John Bosco was celebrated in Victoria last Sunday. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech celebrated Mass at the Don Bosco Oratory chapel in the morning, with the participation of the Laudate Pueri choir, followed by a parade of horses and ponies and the blessing of pets by Fr George Mercieca. Oratory director Fr Effie Masini was presented with a painting of Don Bosco by Josmar Saliba and David Galea. Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono inaugurated a hydraulic lift and energy-saving lights at the oratory as part of the eco-Gozo scheme.
