A man who stole a bag from a woman in Valletta in August was jailed for two years today after a court noted his long criminal record, which included a suspended sentence.

Raymond Scicluna, 54 of Qormi, was convicted of stealing a bag at Pizza Hut in Valletta.

The court noted that the crime was committed during the operative period of a 15-month suspended jail term and a probation order.

Magistrate Anthony Mizzi said the accused had been given ample time to reform, but he clearly had not.
