The English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Monitoring Board has donated a set of English Language Training (ELT) books to the English Language Resource Centre.

The donation is part of its commitment to stimulating and promoting the ELT profession and enhancing the quality of English teaching nationwide.

EFL Monitoring Board chairman Daniel Xerri presented the books to centre head Mary Anne Camilleri on January 19.

The EFL Monitoring Board fully supports the efforts of ELT teachers who wish to add to their educational achievements by pursuing further studies.

“These books will hopefully benefit all those teachers who have a desire to seek professional development and who constantly strive to upgrade the quality of their teaching,” Mr Xerri said.

Ms Camilleri thanked Mr Xerri and said the books would be a valuable addition to the the centre’s library and they would be beneficial to the professional development of ELT teachers and student teachers.
