Kempinski celebrates 10th anniversary with opening of La Caverna, open weekend

Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the opening of La Caverna wine bar and an open weekend between Friday and next Sunday.

The open weekend kicks off with the inauguration of La Caverna on Friday, followed by a wine reception with live music entertainment.

La Caverna will house a selection of over 300 wines within an Italian-style enoteca ambience.

The wine bar’s name originates from ‘The Cave of the Old Man in Gozo’ story, dating back to 1583 when many wine presses were discovered in Mġarr ix-Xini.

La Caverna’s sommelier will be physically present among the guests to suggest the most suitable wine for any tasting session, mood or occasion.

The rest of the weekend will give visitors the opportunity to meet staff and tour the hotel’s facilities.

Guests can also enjoy dinner at L’Ortolan Restaurant, which is launching a brand new menu, a Sunday family buffet lunch, or go for a spa treatment. A 25 per cent discount will apply throughout the weekend.

Those wishing to stay overnight can also benefit from a 40 per cent discount on room rates.
