Wagamama of Spinola Bay, St Julian’s recently re-opened its doors with a new look.

In line with ongoing product development at Wagamama’s London headquarters, this Asian food concept known for its spartan, canteen-like design has moved towards a more contemporary style in its design and furnishings.

The wooden benches have been upholstered and drum shaped pendant lamps hang low over the tables.

The overall feel is supposed to be more like a restaurant and more conducive to a longer stay rather than the fast in and out original format required in London’s efficient commercial centre, where Wagamama first opened its doors.

Best known for its noodle dishes, Wagamama’s offerings include Chinese, Thai and Japanese flavours and ingredients.

The menu has also seen changes with a new range of starter dishes and desserts as well as some new main courses, including lamb kouma from New Zealand.

Wagamama said the new menu offers even better value.

Take out remains an option and a delivery service will soon be introduced.
