‘Investing for Beginners’ will be the theme of the first course to be held by the newly established Institute of Investment Analysis.
Held at the Malta International Training Centre from March 1, the course is one of 10 to be held on investing and trading.
The institute aims to share pragmatic and practical investing techniques rather than traditional theoretical concepts which may not always offer the investor value. Courses will be led by experts with up to 25 years’ investing experience locally and overseas.
They will be suited to individual investors and investment professionals, and will include programmes on hedge fund structures and strategies, trading futures, and trading foreign exchange.
Most courses will require students to manage a portfolio of stocks, bonds, foreign exchange, future and options using a real-time trading simulator.
The institute also aims to encourage the publication of quality research and raise awareness of effective investment principles.
