Patients will be able to access their medical information online and share it with a doctor of their choice through a new service called My Health.

The service will kick off by providing hospital discharge summary reports and go on to include lab results, radiology reports and medicine entitlement information.

Health Minister Joseph Cassar said this was a milestone in the development of health services, which strengthen the relation-ship between doctors and patients. The system took one year to be set up and cost €350,000.

The site – www.myhealth.gov.mt – will be up and running on Tuesday.
