A Sicilian man, Carmelo Ciranna, 36 of Siracusa, was today jailed for four years after he admitted to having burgled four houses between December 16 and last week. Two of the houses were in San Gwann and the others in Birkirkara and Swieqi.

He also admitted relapsing.

His haul was over €2,500 worth of items.
