Australian guest’s suspicious visit

Alfred Massa, novelist, poet and president of the Maltese Poets Association, has published his 10th novel: Il-Ħajja Mqallba taz-Zija Rhoda.

Massa’s first novel Is-Salib tal-Ġiżirana (1973) was the first in a long series of novels and most are at present out of print.

Il-Ħajja Mqallba taz-Zija Rhoda (an Agius and Agius publication) has romance, tension, with a touch of mystery: the Sciberras family receives news from aunt Rożi that she is coming over from Australia for a three-month holiday in Malta. The family offers to host her.

During her time in Malta, Rożi (now Rhoda) behaves oddly, enough to cause suspicion.

The plot thickens, and the end is… unexpected.
