About 200 Libyan protesters have stormed the grounds of the transitional government's headquarters and are demanding a meeting with the country's interim leaders.

The protesters used hand grenades today to break through the gate and into the compound housing the National Transitional Council's headquarters in the eastern city of Benghazi.

They are banging on the building's doors and calling for an official to address them.

Residents in Benghazi, where the anti-Gaddafi uprising broke out in February, have been protesting for nearly two weeks, demanding transparency and justice from the country's new leaders.

Some say new elections laws drafted by the NTC do not reflect the demands of the general public.
