It is a pity that Albert Dimech (Family Feud, January 18) did not attend the Sliema council meeting. He would have heard the correct wording. The words I said in the meeting were: “Here we should all be one family, elected by the residents for the residents”.
The words spoken by another councillor were out of order that evening. The meeting was called only to discuss the Prime Minister’s letter. Mr Dimech should have first read that evening’s council minutes before deciding to go to the media.
Most councillors do work together. Their attendance at meetings can be checked and readers can rest assured that we all do our best for the residents.
