Malta denies claim of ‘US troops in Malta’
Cynthia McKinney
The government last night categorically denied claims made by a former US Congresswoman that “12,000 U.S. troops (are) stationed in Malta and they are about to make their descent into Libya”.
Cynthia McKinney, a peace activist and a US Presidential nominee for the Green Party, made the statement on her blog http://allthingscynthiamckinney.posterous.com under the headline: Why Is President Obama Sending 12,000 US Troops To Libya?
She said she received the information from foreign media publications and “Libyan sources” but later added that she hoped it was wrong.
“The allegations are completely false,” the government said in a statement. Ms McKinney has opposed the US’s military intervention in Libya and had accused Nato and her country of trying to assassinate Muammar Gaddafi.

Is Ms McKnney really a nominee to stand for election to the post of president of the United States of America ?
Assuming that she has really been told that there are 12,000 US military personnel in Malta, is she so gullible as to accept this statement, and repeat it publicly?
Incredible.

The scary part of this story is that this idiot made it as far as US Congresswoman! Of course everyone knows that these troops are hiding throughout Malta disguised as immigrants. The thinking behind this is that it will look like normal repatriation when the Government send them back to Libya.

I wonder why she isn't in Congress any more? Maybe there's hope.

Ms McKinney's false statement is the joke of the year. Even if it was stated on 1st. April (Aprl's fool) no one would believed it. I am sure that this statement was not send to her by someone from the Maltese Green Party.
