Now that the Prime Minister is tightening the belt on government spending, having started with MPs’ honoraria, isn’t it time for it to try and sell the property it inherited from the Church?

The government now has a new minister for lands and is being pressured to reduce its deficit by the EU.

People are desireous of buying their ground rents and this would increase the government’s income.

If people acquired their home or business on a freehold basis it would encourage them to develop their property and generate wealth, further decreasing the country’s defecit.
