Science doesn’t make it impossible to believe in God but it makes it possible not to believe in God (quote from physicist Lawrence Krauss, author of The Physics Of Star Trek and A Universe From Nothing). Out of nothing, the whole universe; first, one has to clearly define “nothing” since it isn’t an official scientific term. Physics allows energy to come from nothing in forms that are both positive and negative. As long as equal amounts are created at once, energy can burst from nothing without violating conservation laws.

That the universe began in a big bang doesn’t prove or disprove the “notion” of God. The fact that science can’t explain something doesn’t mean the explanation “must” be supernatural. Physicist Krauss could call belief in science a faith but it’s a shakeable faith – that’s what makes science so wonderful.
