The edition of BondÌ+ aired on Tuesday was interesting for more than one reason.

It was interesting in terms of the content, providing a fascinating insight into the inner workings of the PN parliamentary group, Lawrence Gonzi’s leadership style and Franco Debono’s rationale for his actions.

But it was much more interesting because Lou Bondì finally abandoned even the slightest pretence of being an objective, balanced journalist and broke out his true colours – that of the fanatical, committed party apparatchik whose only aim was to defend his party leader and attack his enemies, or those perceived to be his enemies at any given moment. Incidentally, did Mr Bondì or Where’s Everybody? pay for the advert given to his programme in the news bulletin aired just before the programme went on air?

Is the Broadcasting Authority going to remain mute and impotent in the face of this and other obscenities committed by PBS which, day by day, is becoming ever more clearly an extension of Net media?
