Hamrun Spartans struck twice in the last six minutes two salvage a 2-2 draw against Mosta.

Mosta took the lead on 15 minutes when Jonathan Bajada unleashed a powerful drive that was blocked by Hamrun goalkeeper Andrea Cassar and in came Obiefule to stab the ball home.

Hamrun's hesitant defending almost cost them a second goal on 29 minutes when the Spartans defence failed to deal with a Bajada cross but Obiefule's low shot hit the upright.

The Spartans were unlucky not to draw level on the hour when Ribeiro's overhead kick hit the upright.

However, it was Mosta who all but sealed the points on 66 minutes when in swift break, Obiefule turned past Grima and unleashed a powerful drive that flew into the net.

Hamrun pulled a goal back six minutes from time when Gaetan Spiteri was felled in the area by goalkeeper Jonathan Debono and Dene Shields converted the resultant penalty.

The goal inspired the Spartans forward and two minutes from time Kevin Sammut's dipping shot flew into the top corner of the net.

Obinna Obiefule was voted as the BOV Player of the match.
