Meier wins December accolade

Siġġiewi’s Maltese-Australian player Chris Meier has won the Division One player of the month for December.

Meier made his debut in Maltese basketball this season. Last month, Siġġiewi figured in the final of the Louis Borg Cup. Meier contributed to these results by scoring 42 points.

He is also the season’s second best rebounder with an average of 11.22. Meier, who has averaged 1.70 steals and 2.20 assists per game, received the award from Patrick Mercieca, on behalf of sponsors You Shop We Ship.
